Can company cancle health insurance same day as I was fired?

I was fired on June 2nd and my company cancled my insurance the same day with out informing me. I thought I was covered untill end of month. Can they cancle me like that? I was not fired for misconduct but because they needed me full time but I am only avaliable part time due to second job.
