Families who want to be part of this California health insurance program have to first meet federal family income guidelines. The income for family sizes ranging from one to ten might range from zero dollars up to $9,000. Teens up to 18 years old and pregnant women, infants, and children on Medi-Cal can qualify for the Healthy Families Program. Children of qualified immigrants may also be eligible to be part of the health program. Children under Healthy Families can benefit from medical services offered by the program. For one, children are not denied health care coverage regardless of their current health condition. These children are eligible for any required medical services, and are provided preventive pediatric health care services such as immunizations and screenings.
