Unfortunately, some businesses in Illinois don't offer health packages from Illinois health insurance companies. It's epensive for businesses to carry health insurance. It is also not a requirement for employers to offer health benefits to the employees. Health plans are probably the most costly benefits that companies can offer their employees. What you can do is get your own coverage from any Illinois health insurance company. Take note that most insurance plans with good coverage are usually a bit more epensive than others and have high deductibles. But if you're generally healthy and you’re not the type who frequently visits doctors for checkups and referrals, then some high deductible plans are probably the inepensive choices for you. The money you save will help pay for emergencies instead. Sometimes, getting your own policy from any Illinois health insurance company may be cheaper than if you get a plan through an employer. However, if you can't get private insurance, there is a state insurance program in Illinois. This program caters to those who can't obtain private health insurance plans. You can check out this option, too. - June 17, 2009 @ 8:26 am
