The state of Colorado is said to regard senior and child care as top priority, that's why there are several Colorado health insurance plans that focus on these two age groups. The state's law requires all health insurance companies to cover childhood immunizations, home health and hospice services, mammograms, diabetes and prosthetic devices, and prostate screenings. Coverage is also provided to pregnant women, adopted children, and newborns, among other provisions. Other covered illnesses in all Colorado health insurance plans include senile dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other organic brain syndromes. The state also requires Colorado health insurance companies to provide a copy of the Colorado Health Benefit Plan Description Form' to the participant before he signs up for his desired insurance policy. The form contains a summary of all fees, epense maimums, coverages, and information on how the participant can contact the insurance company, file a complaint, and get special care. If an individual has a plan from a third-party Colorado health insurance company that's being paid for by his employer, then the state cannot regulate the said health plan.
