I currently have senior dimensions and tricare for life…

My wifes mother just arrived from the Philippines with a valid visa, social security card. I currently have senior dimensions and tricare for life. She is 100% dependent on us for support as she is 72. What type of health care can I obtain for her here in Nevada. I have submitted paperwork to see if I can get her care from the military as I am retired military.

You can't add a parent as a dependent to your Medicare coverage, regardless of their degree of dependency on you. If Tricare is unable to provide assistance your net best option would be to check with the Medicaid services in your state to see if they can assist or advise on a Medicare Buy-In option. Private health plans are only available to persons under the age of 65. — June 9, 2009 @ 2:56 pm
