Cheap medical health insurance does not necessarily mean that you also get substandard health care coverage. You can decide on the specifics of the coverage so you won’t have to pay for services that you may not need. Base your coverage on your current need and lifestyle. Catastrophic health insurance may be a bit cheaper compared with the regular or traditional plan which covers many services in health care. Moreover, if you want a low premium, you may epect a high deductible or out-of-pocket epenses when the need arise. Collect health insurance quotes and compare them. Study the premiums, coverage, and accessibility of network providers. Taking transportation and other financial concerns into consideration will help you get the best deal. Be wary of the health insurance company that you want to deal with. If you think you can work with them in a long-term, check if they offer discounts or some kind of loyalty rewards. It won’t hurt if you negotiate the manner of payments. Through this, you can suggest a more fleible term that is easy for you to pay, whether it be monthly, quarterly, or annually. Still, the best way in getting cheap medical health insurance is consulting a health insurance agent who can answer your questions. -- June 11, 2009 @ 9:52 pm

If you are healthy yes, but I suppose this would depend on your definition of cheap. If you are 50 and are looking to pay under $100/mo this is probably impossible. If you are 20, this may be very possible, but it mainly depends on the deductible and features you choose.
The best way to save on insurance is 1) Try to stay healthy and 2) Do not buy a health plan with a super low deductible or coverage for all the little stuff.
If you are healthy buy a more catastrophic plan and bank the rest.
