United Health Care Insurance works with the American Association of Retired Persons in providing health care and other concerns to seniors 50 years old and below. United Health Care Insurance offers a variety of insurance plans for AARP members namely, Medicare R Plans and Personal Health Insurance Plans. Medicare R Plans are the counterpart of Medicare Part D or the prescriptions drug plan. In this type of plan, you just have to pay a small amount for copay or coinsurance when you buy your medicines while the plan pays for the remaining cost. However, you must be aware of the coverage gap. The gap begins when you and the insurance company have paid for the $2,700 in prescription for one year. After that, you may have to pay the full amount of the discounted prescription costs until you meet the $4,350 of your out-of-pocket medicine epenses. But you don’t have to spend so much for out-of-pocket. I suggest that you look for generic drugs in your pharmacy. These drugs are as effective as the branded medicines but do cost less. United Health Care Insurance through AARP, offers pre-designed Personal Insurance for adults who are between 50 to 64 years old and 65 years old and above or those eligible for Medicare. The plans are created according to the needs of seniors within the age range. United Health Care Insurance also offers discounted medical supplies which include equipment for diabetes testing and respiratory issues. Ask an independent insurance agent about the plans and coverage you need. -- June 19.2009 @ 4:44 pm
