The store is located in The Plaza at East Cooper Shopping Center at 615 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Suite 102. The opening ceremony was scheduled on January 23 with feature comments by BlueCross eecutives and Mount Pleasant city council representatives. BlueCross aims to showcase insurance plans for children and adults who are under and over 65 years old at its first health insurance retail store in the area. Aside from insurance policies, shoppers can attend wellness seminars and even use the store’s wellness station to check their own blood pressure. There are also refreshments and a chair massage that shoppers can use at the store. As the first health insurance retail store of BlueCross BlueShield in South Carolina, the company epects to provide an informative and comfortable environment for shoppers of health insurance. The store will be staffed by BlueCross personnel and independent insurance agents. It will specifically offer insurance for adults, children, senior citizens, and employer groups. Insurance customers can also learn more about the company's latest range of insurance plans called BlueSpectrum SM. This is a rebranded range of health insurance plans that features lower cost plans.
