our daughter has serious mental illness
Our daughter has a serious mental illness . She has been entered at least 3 times in the California program for mental illness and the 3ed time she received a 30 day shot of medication and was released. She seemed much better, but failed to follow up on future vists to a clinic and is now her delussional friends have returned. She had a very good job for many years , she was laid off, got state temporary disability insureance. She does not qualify for any plan that is normally sold over the counter. She could probabily get medicare, but in her mind she has no problems and refuses to fill out any forms. I would like to pay for a premium to a private insurance company rather than rely on the California Mental Health System. My deepfest hope is to see her take the medications necessary to relieve her illness that has prevented her from getting a job or keeping friends.
